En Octobre prochain, sera lancée, aux Etats-Unis, dans la tentaculaire chaine de magasins Walmart, une ligne de poupées multi-ethniques, conjointement créée par Stacey McBride-Irby et Robert Tonner.

La collection présente une variété de visages représentatifs de la culture américaine :  Lena (afro-américaine), Valencia (hispanique), Dhara (Asie du Sud), Kimani (africaine), Hana (asiatique) et Alexie (caucasienne).

“Le but de cette collection Prettie Girls! Tween Scene est de proposer aux fillettes, une collection racontant leur histoire, culture, aspirations et buts dans la vie” annonce Trent T. Daniel, créateur du The One World Doll Project.

Next october, a new line of multi-cultural dolls will launch at Walmart with a variety of in-store appearances by the dolls’ designer, Stacey McBride-Irby and co-designer Robert Tonner.

The line consists of the pre-teen versions of Prettie Girls: Lena (African-American), Valencia (Hispanic), Dhara (South Asian) and Kimani (African), Hana (Asian) and Alexie (Caucasian).

“Our vision in developing the Prettie Girls Tween Scene collection was to provide young girls with dolls that represent their individual backgrounds, stories, styles, goals and inspirations,” said Trent T. Daniel, founder of The One World Doll Project.
